Advanced Folder Encryption

Imagine you have a lot of personal files and folders and your computer is also used by other people, for example, your wife or your work colleagues. Or perhaps you have data that is unsuitable for children and you don't want them to have access to it. Or your laptop gets stolen and you don't want your sensitive information to get into the wrong hands. There are dozens of reasons why you would need to protect your personal information. But the question is what software to use in order to protect your files and, at the same time, what software is powerful enough to stand in front of the attack of a hacker. The answer is the Advanced Folder Encryption software.

As the name clearly states, the software is able to protect any folder with a password, but can also encrypt files, making them impossible to access without entering the right password. The software is compatible with almost any Windows version, including XP and Windows 7. It doesn't take long to install and has an intuitive setup process that can be completed by anyone.

The interface allows dragging files and folders onto it in order to encrypt them. Alternatively, one can use the graphical buttons for selecting the desired files and folders for encryption. Either way, there are three levels of encryption, normal, high and highest. The last is not available in the trial version. After setting the password and selecting the level of encryption, the file or folder will be protected, inaccessible for users without a password.

All the encrypted files and folders will be displayed in the program's interface as a list, allowing the user to easily decrypt anyone of them. Besides protecting files and folders with passwords, Advanced Folder Encryption also includes some extra tools, like the ability to protect partitions. Thus, it can hide a partition completely from the system, making it safe. Besides that, it includes a file shredder that can delete any file and folder beyond recovery.

In case the user forgets the password for a normally-encrypted file and folder, he can reset it. This feature is only available for registered users.
